The National Competitions.
MAAC is introducing 2 National competitions as from this season. The Nationals will be conducted in the last 2 months of the season. The National competitions are designed for those shooters who have interest and intent to participate in international events. Hence these competitions will be following the complete rules and regulations with respect to the discipline, rifle specifications and time restictions. MAAC as RGB for WFTF, ERABSF, WRABF has the right to set up specific rules for Nationals that may be more stringet to the existing core rules inorder to qualify the shooters for national selections.

MAAC will conduct 2 Nationals on for Bench Rest and for Field Target.
The nationals will have 1 round of 2 days. Each rouund is one complete weekend of activity.
During that weekend the shooters must commit their presence and follow the schedule of events that will be presented to them. Each shooter committing for the Nationals is entitled to rank for a national selection if he or she exceeds the minimum scores as set by MAAC. The shooters exceeding the minimum score mark will be ranked. In the event that funds and sponsors are available, the shooters in order of ranking will have the opportunity to represent Malta in international events. MAAC made applications for such funds for year 2010 to KMS so decisions if to or not to be able to sponsor these shooters is still open depending on the request done.
However we feel this is the right approach for those interest to make a step forward. Even if a shooter decides to participate in an international event from his own account at least he will be prepared for what to encounter.

The Nationals are open for all licensed target shooter B holders from any club or organization. Ranking is done irrispective of shooters however MAAC reserves the right to sponsor its Members only if funds are available.
